Remuneration: Annual salary commencing at $64,575 plus superannuation

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join our People and Organisational Development team. This fixed term engagement will be for a period of up to 12 months.

People and Organisational Development (POD) branch is committed to council's plan to engage all staff in the development of a sustainable and high achieving workforce, within a safe work environment that is conducive to attracting and retaining the best.

This position will be required to provide a high level of administration support to the People and Organisational Branch which includes Organisational Development, Human Resources, Work Health and Safety and Payroll. It will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring up to date maintenance of the learning and development competency database and maintaining the annual learning and development calendar.
  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of outgoing and published documents.
  • Assisting in the collaboration of branch reports.
  • Monitoring the progress of recruitment and on-boarding processes to ensure timely delivery in conjunction with the HR Advisors.
  • Provide support to POD projects and tasks as directed within required timeframes.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their ability to work within a team environment as well as independently, enthusiastically and with initiative whilst maintaining confidentiality. They should also be able to demonstrate their high attention to detail and ability to manage their time and priorities.

To be successful in this role, applicants should be able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills as well as their ability to develop effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
